Ing. Martin Kenyeres, PhD.
Martin Kenyeres is a senior research scientist (holding a scientific rank IIa since June 2022) at the Institute of Informatics of the Slovak Academy of Sciences (Slovakia) and a doctoral advisor at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology of the Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava (Slovakia). He received his M.Sc. from the Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava and his Ph.D. from the Brno University of Technology (Czech Republic). His primary research interests include distributed algorithms for data aggregation in multi-agent systems and wireless sensor networks. He has authored/co-authored more than 50 scientific papers (indexed in the Scopus database) in these areas. In 2013, he was at the Vienna University of Technology (Austria), where he participated in the NFN SISE project under the supervision of Professor Markus Rupp (a world-renowned scientific authority in telecommunications). Since 2018, Martin has been with the Institute of Informatics of the Slovak Academy of Sciences. In 2019, Martin Kenyeres received the Stefan Schwarz Supporting Fund, a grant awarded to exceptional young postdoctoral researchers (which was extended in 2021). In addition, he has handled numerous national and international projects (as the principal investigator/deputy head/scientific co-worker) and completed several foreign internships. Furthermore, he serves on the editorial and reviewer boards of multiple prestigious journals, acts as a guest editor for specialized issues, and chairs an international workshop.
