Parallel computational methods and algorithms

Leader: RNDr. Ján Glasa, CSc.
Representative: Ing. Lukáš Valášek, PhD.

Research focus

  • Computer simulation and experimental investigation of fires in various environments, including road tunnels and passenger vehicles.
  • Fire safety modeling for high-visitor and high-safety-demand environments.
  • Forest fire and rural area fire modeling using physical and semi-empirical models.
  • Use of high-performance computing for fire simulation, including parallelized calculations.
  • Efficient algorithms for discrete sinusoidal transforms and filter systems with perfect reconstruction.
