„Deep Learning Approaches for Disease Detection“
Abstract
Deep learning has emerged as a powerful subset of artificial intelligence, offering significant advancements in the automated detection and diagnosis of diseases. By enabling computational models to learn hierarchical features directly from raw data, deep learning techniques—particularly convolutional neural networks (CNNs) and recurrent neural networks (RNNs)—have demonstrated exceptional performance in medical image analysis, speech recognition, and electronic health record interpretation. This seminar presents an overview of deep learning approaches applied to disease detection, such as Alzheimer’s disease, lung cancer, breast cancer, and brain tumors. The discussion will highlight real-
world medical imaging and clinical data applications, emphasizing accuracy, efficiency, and scalability. In addition, we will explore the challenges surrounding data quality, model interpretability, generalizability, and ethical considerations that impact the integration of deep learning into the health sector. The session aims to provide insights into both the potential and limitations of deep learning in shaping the future of diagnostic healthcare.
We look forward to meeting you over a cup of tea or coffee.
